2016 Updates

We hope your holiday season was enjoyable, that you were loved and able to love on some others as well.

It's 2016, new copyright laws went into effect this month, and they say more are to come, we shall wait and see.
For now here are some updates that we have done with the station, and the website. Some are required by the new laws, some are just ways that we try to keep things fresh and exciting around here
.

Top 25 Countdown Polls - we are discontinuing these polls for a number of reasons, however we will continue to post the most played songs on 3R Radio, so that you know what we play, and that we are (or maybe were not) playing your song.

Top 25 Countdown Show - Weekends were made for countdowns, and were moving ours to Saturdays at noon. Of course don't forget we air the "official" national chart from Paul Gibson and the Christian Rock 20 on Saturday nights (midnight) and Sunday's (7pm) as well.

Interactive Indie Spotlight Show - Interaction is the thing of the future, if it was 2005, today it is the thing of TODAY.  We thought why not put the technology to use in a new and exciting way, keep our listeners involved in what we play, and support the indie artists/bands in a new way. So, we bring you the Interactive Indie Spotlight show.  Each week you will be given the opportunity to vote for one of 5 indie artists, at the conclusion of the weekly poll we will then bring you up to an hour (depending on how much of their music we have in our library) of that band/artists music.  From there, the remaining 4 acts carry over to the next week, with a new band added to replace the winning band from the current week.  It is not by chance that we place this poss on our "indie page". We encourage you to get to know these bands, listen to their music, and yes you can vote for your friends band, but vote for the other guys too from time to time, especially if you dig their music.

Monday Moanin' - There used to be a column that I read regularly in the Detroit Free Press as a kid. It was called Monday Moanin with Bob Talbert.  Well were copying that idea and bringing you the Monday Moanin radio show. Various topics of discussion with music, and eventually a way for you to call in during the show. Monday's at 11am.

Summer   2015   updates

We are super excited to announce some new shows for your listening enjoyment (and hopefully more).

The Antidote - with a tag line that states:  "Christian music that doesn't suck" well, we HAD to have this show on the station. We are super excited to welcome Dave and his show The Antidote to our weekly programming. This show will air Tuesday nights at 7pm eastern. It is replacing the "interview of the week" show, but no worries Dave will have plenty of interviews for you.

Minion Mike - we met this brother (as well as Dave from the Antidote) at #AudioFeed Fest and we are super excited to add his Minion Mike show to the station. If underground music is your thing, be sure to catch this show. Airing weekly at 11am eastern time on Wednesdays.

Venue52 - Bringing the venue to you. This show features new music from all genres including some great "indie" music. Right up our alley. The Venue52 show will air Saturday nights at 9pm, right about the time that most venues crank it up.

Pastor Brad - Many of you folks are familiar with Pastor Brad's music, but he also does a podcast which he has so graciously agreed to share with us here at 3r Radio. We will be airing these podcasts on Tuesday monrings at 8am.

Lunch With a Pharisee - What path this show will take remains to be seen. The idea is to strip down the religion and get to the nitty gritty. Talk radio, music radio, interviews, interaction, we hope to have it all. We'll see how this show goes. It's been on our minds for a long time, finally going to give it a try. Lunch With a Pharisee will air Tuesdays at 11am eastern time.

New Music Friday - The music industry has changed the release dates for new music to Friday, in trying to stay "trendy" (ahahahah, it'll never happen) we are moving our New Music Tuesday show to Fridays and changing the name to something super cool like New Music Friday.........of course this show will air on Friday's, at 11am eastern time.

Indie Hour: Indie music on the sixes. 6am and 6pm eastern time. This takes the place of the "indie show" that aired on Saturday nights, and it will be much more broad in the music that is played as it will be programmed in a random fashion rather than "cued" by a human. Variety, and all indie. Monday through Friday's at 6am and 6pm eastern time.

3r Radio Top 100 Songs of the week:  You know that Top 100 list that we post every week? Yeah, well we will be playing all 100 songs every Sunday from noon to about 7pm eastern time, in a very random order. This is NOT a countdown show, but rather just a way to make sure you have a chance to hear every song in our "heavy" rotation.

Other changes:  In addition to adding these amazing shows, we have also moved some things around.

3R church - Well, now it's just the FHMCC broadcast. Were moving this one from Friday to Sunday and doing away with the random rotation of messages. Less talk and more rock one might say

#tbt Showcase show - This one returns to our Thursday lineup, but at the 11am timeslot rather than the 8pm time slot.  Each week we will focus on an album, cd, or artist.

Snap, Crackle, and Pop the vinyl show - were moving this one from 1pm on Thursday to 8pm on Thursday. It will air right after OLD STUFF on Thursdays. 2 hours of classic vinyl, ripped straight from vinyl, complete with the snaps, crackles, and pops.

Streets Of Gold - were moving the streets once again. This time were sliding it into the 1pm time slot on Thursdays, keeping it as part of our Throwback Thursday

The Z Radio Show - Bumping this one up to the 8am eastern time slot. Music, message, and sometimes cd give-aways.

Scheduleing    updates

If you have not noticed the Equip The Sword show has ceased.  Perhaps it came and went so quick you didnt quite even know it was there to begin with, but for this schedule update, we wanted to inform you that it is officially retired from 3R Radio, as the host just was not able to free up the time needed to create a weekly show.

Dez Childs Show - Dez Childs has announced that she will cease creating her show at the end of June. We broadcast this show Saturday mornings at 8am, we will continue to broadcast until the final episode. It's a bit of a "poppy" show for us, but her interviews, insights, and guests always more than made up for the lack of "rock" content. We are sad to see her go, but hope nothing but the best as she continues to pursue music full time.

Servant Warrior Radio - weve ran these 4 times or more in various time slots, Jeff as well is just too busy to create weekly new content, therefore we have also ceased to broadcast this show. Tuesday mornings at 8am for now will just be good music for your listening enjoyment.

KYMS - the music of KYMS has ran it's full 10 episodes. There are no more. We were able to run the complete series and we are very thankful for that. If you missed it, you can catch it all on Youtube with some slight variations due to copyrights. We may run this series again in the fall, we have not made the final decision on this as of this post. Thursdays at 11am will be great music for your listening enjoyment.

If your doing a weekly show, or running a station, internet radio consumes ALOT of time, so we totally understand when folks tell us they just don't have the time. We strive to bring the best in listening value that we can, and we are thankful for all that participate, help, assist, and so on.

We will be updating our schedule to reflect these changes as soon as they are all complete. Most likely by the end of June.  We have some pretty cool updates coming your way in August, so stay tuned for that.

New   Years   Update

Our global stat collector disappeared, we checked the website that it is hosted from and it's not there anymore either, so we are assuming they went away.  We uploaded a new globe gadget today, but the numbers are all starting over, but hey that's OK, we will have 2015 stats.  (just wish we would of recorded the 2014 stats - ah well).

We uploaded the Top 100 songs of the year, as based on chart position.  The most played songs of the year!

We are about to extend our family, or should we say become part of a larger family, stay tuned for details.

The New Years Eve show went very well, some minor PA issues but the guys in Rendered handled it like a pro and the show continued on. Dave was very thankful of us coming down and playing some rock n roll for them, we hope we get to be a part of the next one too.

Happy New Year everyone, thanks for listening.  Let's RAWK in 2015!

Snap, Crackle, Pop - The Vinyl Show at 1pm, Old Stuff hosted by Phil Brand at 7pm, and the Throwback Thursday show gets a new name and time, it is now #tbt Showcase and will air at 8pm.  You can almost include the CCM Classic.com show in here as well, even though it airs at midnight eastern time, that's still Thursday in some parts of the world.

And it's not quite so new, but it is newer, we now have a chat room where you can hang out and chat with other Righteous Rock fans while you listen.  Just look for the box on the left side of the home page of the website.

We are excited about the next chapter at 3R Radio, and we hope you are too. As always we truly thank you for listening, sharing, and interacting with us.
